Hi. I just found your site.I don't know what took me so long to find it.
We have an oral history of Native American ancestry and I believe our ancestors were Shawnee.
I have been doing my genealogy for several years and have talked to many people in our families that are scattered over the US. They all tell the same stories about the native ancestors.
I am not trying to become a member of a tribe but I am proud to say I have native blood. I really hope to find the right tribe. My families are from the Carmel Ohio area.
Thanks for the nice site.

We camped on 9-4-07 to 9-6-07. We loved the rustic & peaceful setting. All the people we met were wonderful. Our experience with the tribe was very informative. Thanks again for a great stay. We hope to come back again and see the progress you have made.

Sincerely Gary (Big Oak) & Ellen (Special Little Flower)

Have have a tremendous respect for the Shawnee people and consider Tecumseh one of the most important and historic figures in North Amercian history. My father is from Southern Illinois and his grandmother ws full blooded Cherokee. I only met her once when I was very young. I believe her last name was Edwards.

Anyway, we will be visiting and camping soon and I am anxious to see the caverns and all that you have done with the museum and the pioneer villages.

With great admiration and respect for the people of your nation.

Mark

Hi I am Tim, most people call me Fox Chaser, because of my love to play with foxes. I once chased a fox through the woods. I love wild life. The bats in the cave were awh inspiring when I past through with the troop 124 of Ada,Ohio. I was wearing the "Don't Blame me it was the Dog" t shirt. I wish I could work in a place like that. I could spend the summer in like a room some where. To bad I am not of the Shawnee Nation. I love the fact of my heritage though. Half native american. Black Feet, Mohawk, and Cherokee. I'm going to work at getting a job somewhere like the caverns. I hope I can visit there again.

Bezon brothers and sisters, such a beautiful site and from our homeland to boot. Compliments to all involved. As per some of the requests for info I suggest taking a look at what I loving call my Great Work at the website or contacting me directly via email. I also invite everyone to take a look at my upcoming e-book (and hopefully soon in print version) "Shawnee Heritage" which should be out by mid-July 07. It contains 2,000 entries including my latest and most complete findings on the families of Cornstalk, Tecumseh, Blue Jacket and all of the major figures, and a host of lesser known (or almost unknown) Shawnee from during the 1700's and much more, like the "lost" Shawano" tribe of Shawnee from east of the mountians. Also anyone that is interested in having their past lives read or in search of psychic help can contact me at monetoo@earthlink.net. Paselo my blood and kin. Please feel free to contact me and ask any questions you need to. Don Greene-Friend Spirit Wolf-Kahnah Monetoo Mowawa-Chief of the Shawnee Appalachian Band

My Grandmother was Shawnee from one of the
Remnant Bands of Ohio. Trying to find more
information on that band.Only Dim memories
of visiting her birth and childhood area
when I was only 10. By the time I really
wanted know more of her band's heritage
both my Grandmother and Mother had passed.
Now I'm many miles away from Ohio without
kinfolk nearby that can tell me anything
not already known. She was Shawnee, but
with the maiden name of White.
