Zane/LaBelle Trading Post
1830’s Pioneer Village |
![]()
| Built just like historic wikons using 16 bent poles and covered with elm bark. This area was historically shared by the Shawnee and Wyandotte Indian Nations. Three “marker trees” at the Zane Shawnee Caverns make this special place a historic crossroads and fitting that this land is now owned and operated by the United Remnant Band of the Shawnee Nation – The only state recognized tribe in Ohio.
